HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 for Made in Trichy(Trichy Times) Blog visitors
I was analyzing what I have done last year and what I am planning to do next year - as I was approaching the end of the year. My 2008 was great and lot of things has happened and changed. All personal stuff and I am proud of it.
While I was doing that, I also went through the Trichy Times (Made in Trichy)blog for all the months of this year 2008. I was very much depressed and kind of disappointed with no positive change at all in 2008 for Trichy, except for just news!
Only News and very less action in 2008(Positive):
1) Trichy IT park news were out all this year - Ilandaikulam and Vadapalanji
2) Trichy International Airport.
Things happenned in Trichy 2008:
1) Violence in and around - even today, as I write this.
2) Collectors changed frequently - Udhayachandran, SS Jawahar and now Seetharaman.
3) Trichy Real Estate boomed
4) Trichy High court; Trichy Passport Office - good and bad comments
5) Trichy online presence is increasing
6) More SEZs are promoted - Farmers protest
7) More businesses into Trichy
8) More software companies coming into Trichy - incl HCL, Satyam bought land for future branch
9) Rise in prices of all commodities
10) More builders and construction companies in Trichy
11) Few more Hotels in Trichy
12) ELCOT active in Trichy - IT park work started.
13) CII Trichy Chapter working hard to give positive image
14) Election
15) Cable war
16) Trichy gets 610 acres for Airport
17) More rowdies and gangsters floating in Trichy and having upper hand
18) Entrepreneurs cropping all around Trichy
