Plan to infuse IT skills into school students

In Education Trichy has been the fore runner of all the Districts in Tamil nadu , Bharathidasan University has launched SUITS (School-University-Industry-Tie-up Scheme) to infuse IT skills into school students from standard V to IX through a pedagogical curriculum and recognise them with certificates.

Deeming the initiative a unique development, the Vice-Chancellor M. Ponnavaikko hoped it will help address the challenge of converting 90 per cent of students dropping out after school education in the country into human resource.

The objective is to provide the latest inputs in IT education to students at a young age, enhance their confidence through the certificates, expose them to opportunities in entrepreneurship and promote schools as flexible skill-based training centres imparting employable skills.
