Many of us say that these things don't work in India . Couple of months back, the Faridabad Municipal Corporation laid new roads in his area and the residents were very happy about it. But 2 weeks later, BSNL dug up the newly laid roads to install new cables which annoyed all the residents. A resident used the above listed grievance forum to highlight his concern. To his surprise, BSNL and Municipal Corporation of Faridabad were served a show cause notice and the guy received a copy of the notice in one week. Government has asked the MC and BSNL about the goof up as it's clear that both the government departments were not in sync at all.

So use this grievance forum and educate others who don't know about this facility. This way we can at least raise our concerns instead of just talking about the 'System' in India.

In Trichy, a facility is being built to take on the best in the world in ophthalmology. The company: Aurolab, a unit of Aravind Eye Care (AEC), Trichy. The product: intra-ocular lenses, which are implanted in the eye to help cataract patients. And the price: very cheap. Compared to an average cost of Rs 5,000 for a lens from mncs, Aurolab's most expensive hydrophobic foldable lens costs a mere Rs 1,800. The cheapest non-foldable ones are priced at Rs 90-100—lenses distributed through the government network cost Rs 50.

No agricultural land for SEZ - Trichy Lands

This is about Trichy land and other lands in india, being acquired by government from farmers.

The central government of india said no agricultural and irrigated land should be taken for Special Economic Zones.

“When a person is not ready to sell his land and it is acquired through the law, he has to be compensated financially as well as psychologically. Besides, land for land is also acceptable,” he said.
