In Tamil Nadu, a polling percentage of 70.22% is recorded, even though on a previous day, there was only 64% approximately. This 70.22% is 11% more than what was recorded last time elections.
Around 18 constituencies will be having re-poll tomorrow, due to technical difficulties on the first day.
Coming to Trichy Polling/Vote/Elections:
A total of 70.4 percent polling was recorded in the district. Poll percentage in all the 10 constituencies of Trichy district was higher than what was recorded in last Assembly elections. The highest in the district was recorded in Melur constituency - 72.4 percent voters.
