Dr.Sarmila completed her MBBS degree in Trichy Medical College and completed her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Chennai Medical College. She was one of the few in Trichy to complete this.
Though she was born and brought up in Trichy, she practiced near Salem privately for couple of years, practiced in Trichy Jaihundpuram area also and gained good amount of experience. Came back to her home town and settled in Vadipatti, Trichy.
She has setup a polyclinic called - Sree Women's Polyclinic, Vadipatti, Trichy. Running successfully in that locality and serving the villages in and around.
