After publishing books containing a collection of his poetry, R. Ravi, a Tourism Department official working at the Mannar Tirumalai Naicker Palace in Trichy, launched a website www.kavimalar.com a couple of years ago.
Encouraged by more than 50,000 hits and response from all over the world, Mr. Ravi has decided to update the website on a daily basis by making it an interactive one.
At the second World Tamil Poetry competition organised by the London-based Sudaroli Publishers, Mr. Ravi won a prize.
Apart from poetry, another hobby of is to collect news articles on the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, published in small Tamil magazines. During a visit to Tiruchi, Mr. Ravi met the President who thanked him for sending the news clippings regularly.
